When you register, we store your email address and a display name. Your profile may also include an optional bio, testimony, church affiliation, general location, and profile image — all of which you choose to share.
Prayer requests, updates, and words of encouragement are stored and shown according to the visibility you select: public (anyone can read), members only, or private (visible to you and administrators). Comments and updates inherit the visibility of the prayer they belong to.
Other members see what you share at the visibility level you choose. Administrators can see and moderate all content to keep the community safe. We do not sell your information and we do not run targeted advertising.
You can choose how you receive in-app and email notifications from your notification preferences. We only send email to addresses registered to the app.
When content is reported or moderated, a record is kept for administrators to review. This helps us handle repeat issues fairly.
You can edit your profile, close your prayers, or request account removal at any time. Because this is a community archive, some records (such as prayers others have engaged with) may remain in anonymized form.
Access to records is restricted per user through row-level security so that one member cannot read or change another member's private data.
For privacy questions, email prayer@theprayerwall.social or use our contact form. See our Terms of Service for more.
